Apex Red 'X' Mix is one of those groundbaits that just works when the water’s cold and the fish can’t be bothered. It breaks down fast even in low temps, so it gets some attraction out straight away — exactly what you need in winter when bites are few and far between.

It’s loaded with crushed hemp, 2mm pellets and ground coarse pellets, so once it hits the deck it kicks up loads of fine bits and natural food signals. That nutty, oily smell from the hemp travels well, helping pull fish into the swim even when the water’s murky or the fish are sitting back.

You can use it however you want — on a method feeder, balled in by hand, or straight as a stick mix. It suits pretty much everything: roach, skimmers, bream, carp, tench… all the usual coarse species.
